We have a customer that has two notes servers that need to replicate. The servers are R5. They are in different domains and are on opposite sides of a firewall.
The DB ACL has a group with Designer access. Nested in this group in the NAB is the full server name. Yes, the forms do have Readers field. This same group that is in the DB ACL is also listed in the Readers group.
When these two servers replicate via a scheduled replication, we receive the following error message in the notes.log.
Unable to store document in <server> <db name> (NoteID = some number) from <server name> (NoteID = some number) you are not authorized.
We also have an issue where hundreds of documents just start deleting when replication occurs. We do not have anything set to delete documents and the users have not deleted any.
We have contacted Lotus and still do not have this issue resolved. Any additional help/assistance will be greatly appreciated.
All groups with all members must be in the names.nsf of each domain. Alternatively, you could have Directory Assistance set up on both sides with each domain's address book setup as a trusted directory. I would opt for option one, though. It is more reliable, and easier to setup if you don't have DA already running. Your problems are all related to the lack of all groups, master and nested, being in both NABs, as far as I can tell.
