Event log file errors

We have a Domino server 5.0.8 and Notes clients with version 5.0.4. We are always getting the following error message from the Domino server written in the event log file:
  1. "Note item not found"
  2. "Message ... was not converted successfully"
  3. "Error full text indexing document ... in database...: File does not exist"
  4. "Error full text indexing [database]: Bad document ID/key"
  5. "File truncated - file may have been damaged"

What is the reason for this error?

There are a few items here. Line one could be many things and I cannot ascertain what it is from that excerpt. Line two is a SMTP message. It normally means either some element in a message (normally Microsoft HTML specific) couldn't be converted into native MIME or Notes RTF. Usually, it isn't an issue. For lines three through five it seems like there is some corruption in the database that is referenced in your logs. I would suggest finding that database and try to repair it with fixup, compact and updall. If that fails, you will need to restore it from tape.
