Q

Form-based database system over the Web

I have to create a database system in R5 which should be completely Web enabled. I have no experience in developing on the Web but have good experience developing using the Notes Client. The proposed database to be Web compliant will require the use of forms to extract information from the user and keyword fields etc... I have made a start on this and have found this quite difficult over the Web as the functionality required in extracting and searching for data seems to be a lot more difficult to do. Can you advise me if a form based db system completely over the Web is feasible... ANY db examples would also be greatly appreciated.

This is very feasible and is done all the time, in fact, R5 makes and excellent platform for rapid Web application development. As for examples, Lotus has several available from their site. If you could be specific in regards to your particular needs, I might be able to be more specific.
