Q

Getting number of returned docs in a search without an agent

I am doing a customized search where some 1-2-3 (etc.) buttons should be used to navigate through search results. The search query is carried out by building up a URL. The result is displayed with a $$SearchTemplate form. To calculate to 1-2-3 buttons, I need the number of returned documents.

Is it possible to get the number of returned documents in a search without using an agent to execute the query?
Yes, you can do that. Have a look at Listing search results in groups from CodeStore.net.
