Hiding a template or database design

I am trying to roll out a new template with a hidden design to an existing blank database that replicates from my company to our client's company to their client's company. Because the replicas have already been created with visible designs, I'm not able to push the hiding out from the database that I have replaced the design on. Is there anything I can do to fix this? Or do I have to either replace the design on all known replicas or roll out a new replica?

I believe the problem is that the design in the template is hidden. Let me give you the IBM- suggested method: "This feature is useful for hiding the design of databases that are based on a template you own. When design changes are required, you redesign the template, whose design is not hidden, and then refresh the design of the linked databases."

So if you have a copy of the template whose design is not hidden, refresh the design from that template and check if it works. Then go into the database and hide the design. See Hiding the design of a database
