How can I intercept Notes mail?

I need to plug in my own software like antivirus (written in VC++) and encryption algorithm to Lotus Notes mail, so that it should automatically perform its task on incoming and outgoing mails. How can I plug in that software to Lotus Notes so that whenever I send a mail it should attach to that mail. The antivirus software is already created and we are going to develop an encryption algorithm soon.
You can intercept Domino/Notes mail in several ways, including the "extension manager" APIs, mail rules (both server and client), and Lotuscript events in the mail database. The right answer depends on your specific situation. Let me know if you would like some help with architecture issues.

Also, I hope you have a VERY good reason for writing your own AV and encryption code. There are very good products on the market now that offer these features. It is hard to do better on your own. This is particularly true with encryption. You need to have a strong background in computer science, math and cryptography to beat the current products.
