How can I order a catalog-based domain search by a date field?

How can I display catalog-based domain search results in order of a date field (IssueDate) and not the Domino default last modified date?
Your search result is held in a NotesDocumentCollection. I would look into creating a different array of NotesDocuments that I would sort on the field that you need to sort by. And then, when this new array has been sorted, use the array as a basis for creating your search result document. On the Lotus Developer Domain you will find numerous examples of routines for sorting; here is one.
