We have Domino 6 servers running on Unix platforms and administer the Domino severs with the admin client on Windows 2000 workstations. When changing from one server to the other in the admin client, the screen refresh takes a few minutes. Changing to some servers takes particularly longer than others. It is really annoying when looking at the files view. Any ideas on how to speed this up?
I have seen this, too, and it is frustrating. One trick… Go to File / Preferences / Admin / Files. Enable the checkbox at the bottom to restrict which files are retrieved. Also reduce the number of columns that are displayed about each file to speed up data transfer somewhat.
