How can I use the SaveNewVersion method on Web applications? I know I can't use front-end classes on the Web, but is there a way I can overcome this big problem?
You could build your own "new version" code. A new version is basically just creating a response document where you usually let the original be the response and the new version is the new main document.
Get a handle on all the old versions including the current main document, create a new document that is a copy of the current main document. Then make all the old documents into responses to the new document (notesdocument.MakeResponse).
This can all be done using background methods.
