If ID file is lost, can I access data any other way?

We want to code all local databases. If we lose the ID file, can we access the data in any other way? Thanks.
I assume you mean encrypt all local databases. The short answer is no -- if you lose an ID, you lose the data. That's the reason for encryption -- to keep your data secure. Now, you can avoid this problem by maintaining solid backups of all ID files.
