Implement application to keep version tracking

How can I implement an application that keeps version tracking? Should I use the option of the form "Prior versions become responses"? How can I use this? Thank you.
That is one way. It will create response documents in your views so you must be ok with that. It depends on your needs because record/document versioning can mean about 100 things. If you want to see who last edited a document, you could just include a lastEdited field in the form. If you want to know which field(s) were modified on the last edit, you could use the PostOpen event to create a variant that contains all the values in the form. You could then access that same variable in the QueryClose event, iterate through it and flag things that have changed since the doc was open. Some people will prompt the user for a description of what they were doing (i.e. Added new account for gap.com) and add it to an activity table. If you need complete versions to be tracked, then maybe the "prior versions become responses" is the way to go. It all depends on your needs.
