We are updating our R4.6 server to R5.0.8 and must maintain R4 mail databases working in R5 server. The problem we're having is that the SMTP addressing does not respond to Global Domain document settings and Configuration document settings.
- Make sure that all users have the internet address field completed in their Person document.
- In the In the R5 SMTP server's configuration document, locate the tab "MIMEConversion OptionsOutbound". Set the field "Lookup Internet address for all Notes addresses when Internet address is not defined in document:" to Enabled, do a "load updall names.nsf" and restart your Domino server.
The R5 SMTP router should now convert Notes addresses to the SMTP format as defined in your Global Domain document, if the Internet Address field in the person document is left blank.
