I have a database that I am converting to a Web site. I have a login page where users enter their e-mail addresses and then hit submit. The submit button does a database lookup to see if an e-mail address is valid. If valid, it opens up another form, which is the welcome page. Right now, I can't get an e-mail address to inherit into this new page. I have set the Properties tab to say 'inherit values.' I have set the field up as 'computed' and it still doesn't work. I am doing an open URL instead of another compose command. Do you have any suggestions?
You haven't stated what you are trying to do with this code, but if you are passing the information in the URL, you can see this
by Mike Golding. It explains how to parse a value passed to an agent in a URL. You can adapt this code to a use as part of an agent run in WebQueryOpen code. This can define the field that is inherited into the form being opened.
