Moving data from R6 Lotus forms to Oracle 8i database

I have been able to move text data from my Lotus forms on R6 to an Oracle 8i database, now I'll need to move images, photo and scanned signatures to be precise. The two: Lotus forms and Oracle database.

I am not too sure I know how to go about this. Is there any solution you can refer me to, or a lead from you on how to go about this?
This is a complex issue -- I can't answer it here, in part because I don't really know the answer, not having tried it. All I can tell you at this point is, if we're talking about attachments you can use the LoadFile and FilePath of the Notes LCConnection to extract the files to disk; and if you mean graphics embedded in a rich text field, you might find DXL useful.

This is on my short list of articles I want to write -- once I figure out how to do it myself.

Oh, and this is probably not what you want, but if you do have embedded images, and you simply map the rich text field to a BLOB field in the relational database, then the information copied to the RDB will include the images. They will not be in a form that you can use outside of Notes, but they are stored in Oracle –- in case all you wanted was a way to back the information up.
