Moving from shared to normal mail system

My company currently is running shared mail. We are contemplating moving to a normal mail system. Are there any references out there to determine the amount of additional disk space necessary to accommodate this move? I am also looking for any tips or suggestions for implementing this process. Thanks in Advance

I don't know of any ways to estimate how much more space you will need. I would plan on at least 2x, if not more. A simple way to do this is to begin to unlink individuals, rather than everyone at once. You should get a feel for your space needs after a few people are unlinked. Make sure everything unlinks properly, as this has been problematic in the past.
