New folders don't adhere to default sort order

Thank you for your article "Could Rnext be Out of Time?". I hope IBM takes notice!

I have a problem with folders in the mail template in R.5.0.7 which did not exist in R.6.x i.e. when my users create new folders they do not adhere to the default sort order specified in the design - which in our case is Icelandic. This is pretty frustrating as quite a lot has been done to make the product more international than before and my users are the more frustrated as this behaviour did not manifest itself in R6.x

You can call this into Lotus. I haven't seen anything about this, but I have never had very good luck with folder sort orders and sticking to them. I prefer new mail on top, but the Lotus default is on the bottom. Even with the "Retain View Column Sort Order" preference checked, this has never worked for me.
