Notes server won't replicate with head company with same domain name

We have created a Notes server as AUSNOTES/AU/COMPANY. We now find that will not replicate with the head company, which is */COMPANY as they have the same domain name.

We have created a new certificate as COMPANYAU, but though we can see the U.S. server, it will not allow access because "the public key that is being used does not match the one that was certified." Any suggestions?
This could be a few things. First, check the cross-certificates that the company has for your server. You may need to have them delete the cross-cert and then cross-certify your server again with your new ID. Also, make sure that your server's server document has the correct public key in it. If it does not, copy the server ID public key to the clipboard and paste it into the server document. Finally, have the company make sure they don't have a server record in their directory for your server; or if they do, make sure it is the correct one.
