Problems after upgrading from Domino 5.0.11 to ND6.5.1

I'm running Domino 5.0.11 on an IBM x235 that is also a Microsoft domain controller. It was running as expected until I upgraded to ND651. Ten seconds after starting the server, the LSASS process pegs the computer for three to four minutes, then it's fine. One of the Domino servers would crash and say, "The Domino Server Terminated Abnormally..."

I don't have a virus and our Active Directory isn't that big. I can recreate the issue from a fresh Win2k install/domain controller, and install Domino 6.5.1.

Does ND6 "authenticate" with the Microsoft domain or does ND6 grab memory that LSASS may already been using or cause LSASS to re-cache the Active Directory objects? Can you help please?
Did you install the Windows Directory Sync option with D6.5.1? It is installed by default. That might be what is pegging your server. You can rerun the installation program and remove that process.
