Programmatically finding a field's label in Notes

Is there any way to find out a field's label programmatically in Lotus Notes?
In Notes R6 you would use @ThisName to return the name of the current field. If you are thinking about a label displayed next to the field, you would need to look at something like the Geniisoft Midas Rich Text LSX that extends LotusScript's Rich Text capabilities.
