Restricting editing privileges on Domino Web forms

Is Author Field supported on a Domino Web Form? Does it work the same way it does on the Notes Client?

I am trying to restrict who can edit a document on a Domino(web) form by listing the names of editors in an Authors field on the form.

You need to make sure that the authenticated users viewing the form have Author access, NOT Editor access. Then you simply need to make sure that your Author Names field contains the hierarchical names of the users you would like to be able to edit the document.
