How do I purge documents of all Lotus Notes users that are from before a particular date?
There are several ways to do this, some better than others. In Database Properties, under Replication Settings – Space Savers, you can check the box for "Remove documents not modified in the last x days." It's quick and effective, but it doesn't discriminate, so you might wipe out data you don't want to lose.
Or, try writing an agent to perform virtually the same task, but tell it to look only at items in particular folders or of a specific type. This can be a daunting effort.
A third alternative is to use one of the many archiving products written for Domino. This commercial software is generally highly configurable.
Your decision will depend on what you want to accomplish and how much money you can spend.
