Q

Setting max size of a mail DB and reading a mail DB by bypassing a password

  1. How do I set the maximum size of the users' mail database? I noticed that I can set only the quota and threshold but not the maximum itself. That's why our users continuously receiving mails even when they hit the quota.

  2. Is it possible for me to read the users' mail database (username.nsf) by just bypassing their passwords?
Thanks very much.
  1. What you describe is a feature. Mail is always delivered, even when the mail file is over quota. Otherwise mail would be lost.

  2. No! If you could do this, the whole Domino/Notes security mechanism would be wrong. If you are an administrator of this system, you will (presumably) have the proper permissions to read what you need to read. If you are a regular user of the system, you should not be allowed to read someone else's mail file.
