Size limit/document limits

Is there a size limit on a Lotus Notes database, or is there a limit on how many documents can be in a Lotus Notes database? Also what determines the shutoff on how many documents can be inputted into a Notes database?
For R4, the database limit is 1, 2 or 4 GB, which you set when you create the database.

For R5+, there is effectively no limit to the size of a database, the number of documents in a database or the number of documents you can import to a database. The database will get unwieldy and slow before you hit a hard limit.

For R5, there is a maximum size of 130 MB for a view index, but this depends on the complexity of the view, not just how many documents are in it.
