Track support activities separately from calendaring

I'm with the US Courts. We have just moved to Notes R5. I have no Notes background coming from CCMail8.4. I want to track my system support activities separately from the rest of my calendaring to build something of a knowledgebase. I have no budget to do so. I'm in a pinch. What you suggest? I tried finding an NSF or NTF file on the WEB without success. I could sure use a pointer in the right direction to help me formulate a positive attitude about Notes in general.
If you need a separate 'Calendar', you may want to try just creating another file from the mail template ? same template as your mail file. You could then use this as a separate database from your own individual calendar.
