Use @DbColumn to retrieve values in a column

How would you use @DbColumn to retrieve the values in a column? I would like to retrieve the categories from the Lotus Notes Address Book. How would this function be used programmatically using Lotus Notes C API?

@DbColumn("";"":"DATABASE.NSF";"View Name";2).
You might need to create a view that displays in a particular column the values that you want to collect and then use @Unique() to get a unique listing. I believe that using @DBColumn() on a categorized view will do what you want, though.
