Using Hide/when formula in !Manager field

I am trying to use a hide/when formula on a section that hides the section when the user is not in a particular field. The formula is !Manager. Manager is a names field that is computed to contain the values of several other names fields in the document. This does not seem to work. What might I be doing wrong?
If I understand your question correctly, the following formula should due the trick. Hide When: !@Contains( Manager ; @Name([CN];@Username) )
