Q

Using JavaScript instead of URLOpen to customize window properties

We're developing a Notes client-based database. In the views, we have a shared action button that launches a URL. We want to use JavaScript to open the window, instead of the URLOpen function, so we can customize the window properties. I've tried several methods to use the window.open ("url," "title," "values") script, without success. How can I make this work in a shared action button in a view?
I can't get window.open to work in view-actions either. You might try using @UrlOpen to open a jump page that has a JavaScript OnLoad event, which modifies the window properties based on parameters included in the URL, and then redirects to your destination site. That site's URL is included in the original URL as a parameter.
