When I type "sh us" or "view the users list" from the admin client I see one of my servers listed multiple times, on several different servers -- as many as 100 instances. My theory was the two servers were talking and for some reason the connection between them ended or dropped, and it left the instance of the session.
Is my theory correct? Should I be concerned about the number of dead sessions on my server? Is it taking up resources and slowing down server performance?
If my theory is wrong, what is causing this problem? I have searched both this and the Notes 4/5 forum and found no help or direction. I am not sure where else to look.
Yes, this seems excessive to me. When you type "SHOW USERS," it is common to see another server listed in the user list. But not 100 times. Have you tried rebooting the server? Do the 100 sessions gradually come back? If not, you have solved the problem. If they keep reappearing, something is wrong, and the problem is worth tracking down.
