Why won't an embedded view in a blank form in Designer give me a Design Preview?

I am building a view in Domino Designer. When I Design Preview in Web Browser/Internet Explorer, I get my server's login screen, put in my user name and password and the view shows up nicely in the browser. However, if I create a blank form, embed the view in it and follow the above preview steps, I get the "You are not authorized to perform this operation" from the server. Any ideas? Thanks.
In my experience, Design Preview does not work perfectly. I would just test it for real. Put the database on a test server (or a test area of a production server) and look at the form live. This may show you something different than the preview feature does.
