Will this environment work for a Domino implementation?

Have you been involved with or seen any successful applications with environment/requirements like this?

OS400 V4R5M0
CPUs: 2

Domino Server
Release 5.0.8

Notes Clients (about 100)
Release 5.0.5

-real time DB2(reads and writes) access via the Notes Clients -have explored several of the EI options(LS-DO, DECS, LEI, JDBC, LSX) - none seem to make the client performance requirements (as in fast access to real time DB2 data) -

I've seen several examples of this with Web clients working well - but the requirement is to use the Notes client - especially displaying the real time DB2 summary data as menus for detail screens seem to be an issue-

Anyway, hope that is enough to go on - have you seen or could you share any thoughts about approach that would be wise with something like this?

Berkley, I have definitely programmed and seen many successful solutions for what you are attempting with the configuration you suggest. There are many possibilities and it is hard to explain in a short response a complete solution. In short, if you are looking to just read DB2 data into the Notes client, the LotusScript (LS-DO) option is a good one. On the other end, LEI is a good route if you need to maintain a workflow type application with updates on either end - Notes and DB2.
