Coolidge Development ships database management tool

Tewksbury, Mass.-based Coolidge Development has released Server Audit Pro 1.5, a database management tool for administrators and developers working with Domino servers. Server Audit Pro gathers database information selected in preferences and stores it in a single file. Users will discover it is easier to find orphaned mail files, unused or obsolete applications and extremely large databases, the company said. Server Audit Pro is completely native to Notes and is not a server add-on.

Jagre issues Notes debugging solution

Jagre Inc. in Philadelphia, is shipping a new debugging tool for Notes. Jagre Callpath documents the call path functions and subroutines contained in LotusScript programming code. It supports code in Actions, Agents, Folders, Forms, Pages, Script Libraries, Subforms, Views and other Notes design elements. It supports Notes 4.6, 5 and 6 on a Windows platform.


Stampede adds two large retailers to customer base

Stampede Technologies Inc., a Dayton, Ohio-headquartered developer of Domino-based software, has signed on two new retail customers for its performance enhancing TurboGold Enterprise Edition tool. TJX Companies Inc., the Framingham, Mass.-based discount retailer, and Foot Locker Inc., a New York-based retailer of athletic footware and clothing, will use TurboGold for productivity improvements around data movement, data storage, data control and Web acceleration. Foot Locker was specifically seeking to ease Lotus iNotes traffic between its retail stores and get a performance boost for its Notes clients, Domino servers, WAN network and routers.

TurboGold's Enterprise Edition includes features for setting policies for replication and synchronization, Web acceleration, multicasting and database priority assignments and enables users to distribute them throughout the Notes infrastructure.

Proposion readies developer tools

Proposion, Inc., in Salisbury, Mass., has made available a beta version of Proposion ASPEN, a new tool that will allow organizations to run ASP.NET applications directly on Domino servers. With Proposion ASPEN, shops will no longer need to install a Web server to build and deploy a wide range of ASP.NET-based Web applications, mobile applications or XML-based Web services. Applications can run directly on the Domino server, side-by-side with native Domino applications. Proposion ASPEN integrates with Domino HTTP and SSL protocols and allows ASP.NET applications to take full advantage of Domino's security features such as authentication and access control.

The company is also shipping Proposion N2N 1.1, a tool for integrating Notes and Domino into Microsoft's .NET Framework and Visual Studio.NET development tools. Proposion N2N enables lets Domino developers take advantage of Microsoft .NET tools such as VB.NET, C#, ASP.NET, Mobile Internet Toolkit, and .NET Web Services. The enhancements in version 1.1 are primarily geared to .NET developers who need advanced Notes and Domino integration capabilities. Pricing starts at $1,395.

Proposion ASPEN

Cassetica updates Notes group management release

Cassetica, an enterprise products and services consulting firm in Lombard, Ill., has issued a new version of its Notes group management tool. GroupManager 2.0 adds audit abilities for tracking every group creation, modification and deletion in a Domino environment. It lets shops distribute group maintenance to end users without losing control or reducing security.

GroupManager promises time savings for Notes admins, requires no end-user training, offers a historical audit trail of all group modifications and at-a-glance group administration.


kNEWS helps Notes shops prepare e-newsletters

San Diego-based Gallatin Technologies, Inc. has released a Lotus Notes and Domino 6-compatible version of its flagship product kNEWS Professional, a creation, delivery and tracking tool for electronic newsletters. Gallatin bills kNEWS as a good fit for shops that send out channel partner communications, prospect and client newsletters, and permission-based e-mail marketing. The kNEWS Professional supports Notes 5 and 6.
