Add two working days

This tip describes how to add two working days to your system to compensate for weekends.

Do you want to review a document in two days time but don't work weekends? If so defer the review date till Monday with this simple tip. Use the following formula for an automatic review date field.

daysToAdjustBy:=2;
dayOfWeek:=@Weekday(@Adjust(@Today;0; 0; daysToAdjustBy; 0; 0; 0)) ; "Returns a number.  Sunday = 1, Monday = 2, and so on" ;
addDays:=@if(dayOfWeek=1; 1; dayOfWeek=7; 2; 0); "If it is a Sunday return 1, if it is a Saturday return 2, otherwise return nothing";
@Adjust(@Today;0; 0; daysToAdjustBy+addDays; 0; 0; 0)
