This is a slightly different way of handling your dead mail.
The implementation is fairly simple and is detailed below:
In the Domino directory add a person record, the last name should be _Dead Mail. Specify a mail file and if required an internet address. Please take care that this is not be done as an id registration procedure.
Create the specified mail file.
Create a newletter agent in the mail file to send the administrator(s) a daily summary of the mails received.
We have used this to immediately process the dead mail without visiting the mail.box. Also if the dead mail needs to be forwarded to an internal user, the mail file functionality is available to help you out.
