Create a button to a file on the network

Create a button which linked to a network share where they could put up the files they wanted to share with others.

At our company, people use mail to distribute a lot of things. We solved this problem by having them create a button which linked to a network share where they could put up the files they wanted to share with others. This can also be used when distributing new software. The following solution was done together with my co-worker.

Note! If Lotus Notes client is distributed this way, the user needs to shut down the Notes client as soon as the installation procedure starts. If this is not done ,the client installation process will not work, since the Notes process is already running.

In a new memo, select Create from the top menu. Choose Hotspot followed by Button. Give the button an appropriate name and type in the following in the Formula window:

@Command([Execute];"path")

Type in the path to the program/file on the network share that you would like to distribute. After that, you need to press the green marker to verify your code.
