Expert advice on administration and support
Turn to our Ask the Experts section for technical advice on Domino administration and support.
Along with our user- and expert-submitted tips, another good source of Notes/Domino advice for administrators is SearchDomino.com's Ask the Experts feature. In this section, our panel of Domino experts answers questions posed by readers.
The questions for Michael Lazar, our resident expert on Domino administration and support, typically fall into two categories. Administrators either hit a roadblock in the middle of a particular process and need help, or they'd like a bit of advice before starting something new and, often, unfamiliar.
This summer, Lazar has fielded both types of questions. In the first case, he advised an admin who kept receiving an error message while backing up a Notes database and could not access nsf files. In the second case, an admin asked which files should be copied, and which could be scrapped, when a user is changing PCs.
Overall, we've posted eight answers from Lazar this summer. To view them all, or to browse previous postings, click here.
Lazar, president of Illini Consulting, has been helping SearchDomino.com readers since July 2000. If you have a question of your own for him, submit it here and we'll forward it to him.
