Java code shortens strings in a SQL table
Data written to a SQL Server table must be a specified length, or problems will occur. This Java code shortens a string that exceeds field size limits.

If the string doesn't exceed its maximum length, the Java code does nothing. If the string does exceed it, the code shortens the string to its necessary size.
