LotusScript error detection on the Web

This tip describes a procedure for LotusScript error detection on the Web.

If you don't want the Web page to be blanked without explanation when an LS agent runs, try this code. It shows an alert message with the type of error and the line number in the script procedure where the error occurs.

 on error goto errorhandling
'at the beginning of the procedure

 Exit Sub 'before the label, this
sentence is necessary
 PopUpMessage$ =
|<SCRIPT language="
JavaScript">| &_
 | alert('|& Error$(Err)+"nIn
the line: "+Cstr(Erl()) &|'); |&_
 | </SCRIPT> |
 Print PopUpMessage$
 Exit Sub
End Sub
