Ever had to present a Browser application from a stand-alone laptop--but don't want to run a Notes server on your laptop? It can be tricky. Here's a method I use.
Must have Designer installed and a local copy of the application. Run a background HTTP session, Start | Run |
x:\notes\data\nhttp.exe, enter your id password.
Then, start up your browser and run the application eg:
If the application has Username authentication, and the different names do different things, to demonstrate this do the following:
Have the Username with an Internet password in your local "names.nsf" (I normally cut/paste the names from a server address book, as the local names.nsf doesn't have the password field.)
Presto !! You can now demonstrate a full browser application with multiple user authentication.
