Provide rich-text formatting via the Profile document and Formula

This tip explains a method for providing content to a separate Lotus Notes form while allowing rich-text formatting using the Profile document. Not only will Lotus Notes users be able to edit the form, but using this Formula language code will also eliminate the need to code text inside of the form design.

This simple method allows rich-text formatting using the Profile document to let Lotus Notes users to contribute or edit forms content without having to modify the design each time. It also eliminates the need to code text inside of a Notes form design.

Follow these four steps to provide rich-text formatting through the Profile document:

Here are the steps you will want to use to accomplish this task:
  1. Create a form with a rich-text field and deselect, "Include In Menu Option."
  2. Create an agent using the following Formula language code:
    "DSMessage");  @All
  3. Use the newly created agent to produce and edit the Profile document.
  4. Create a "compute for display" field on the content form to pull in rich-text from your Profile document using:
    ("DSMessage"; "AFSMessage")
