Quick Link to Latest Server Log

When developing Web applications it is often convenient to use MsgBox statements for debugging agents. The output of these agents end up in the server log, so to view them you need to open the last document in the Miscellaneous Events view.

To avoid having to navigate to this document all the time, I wrote a small agent, "LatestLog" in the log database, which will do an internal redirect to the latest log. I have a link to the agent
(http://dev-server/log.nsf/LatestLog?OpenAgent) in my browser favorites for quickly checking the log.

Here's the (admittedly trivial) code

Sub Initialize
Dim s As New notessession
Print "[[/log.nsf/MiscEvents/" &
s.currentdatabase.getview("MiscEvents").getlastdocument().universalid &
"?OpenDocument]]"
End Sub

If you don't want to modify the log.nsf or the log template, it should be trivial to modify the script to live in another database.
