Return ASCII character

This simple agent allows the user to enter that character, either by copy/paste or by typing, and then returns that ASCII value.

I occasionally need to know the ASCII representation of a character. This simple agent allows the user to enter that character, either by copy/paste or by typing, and then returns that ASCII value.

 Sub Initialize
 asciiTemp$ = Inputbox
( "Enter the character", "ADD" )
 Msgbox "Numeric code for the
character " + Chr$(34) + asciiTemp$
+ Chr$(34)
+ "= " + Cstr(Asc(asciiTemp$)), ,"ADD"
End Sub
