Update on Lotus Notes client 6.5.5 calendar delegation problem
SearchDomino.com contributor Chuck Connell provides some follow-up information on the calendar delegation problem some customers have been experiencing after upgrading to Lotus Notes client 6.5.5.
In my March 9 tip, Calendar delegation problem with Lotus Notes client 6.5.5 upgrade, I reported that the calendar delegation feature does not work properly after upgrading a Lotus Notes workstation to version 6.5.5.
Here is some follow-up information: The SPR number for this bug is GLAS6LVQV4. This number is useful to customers who want to track the status of the bug on IBM Lotus's fix-list Web site.
Lotus's current plan is to include this fix in Lotus Notes 6.5.6 in January 2007. Until that time, customers can also receive the fix as part of 6.5.5 CCH1(Cumulative Client Hotfix #1). To receive this fix, customers should call Lotus support and request it.

Thanks for the advice. We were just about to upgrade our environment so that we had a mix of 6.5.4/6.5.5 clients with 6.5.5 servers. Currently, we have a mix of 6.5.4/6.5.5 clients with 6.5.4 servers and have not experienced any issues. Our testing of this matter showed the following:
Client Server Template Result 6.5.5 6.5.5 6.5.5 problem 6.5.5 6.5.5 6.5.4 problem 6.5.5 6.5.4 6.5.5 no problem 6.5.5 6.5.4 6.5.4 no problem
This would indicate that the problems are not strictly related to the 6.5.5 client, but also the server version.
